She struck again

For those of my friends who really want to know yes it happened again. I mean, of course, my little imp, Wendy. She happens so frequently. Saturday I took the Young Women to Mammoth Cave and Ken went to the Stake Father/Son Camp out so I had to take all the girls with me. We didn't go on any fancy tours or anything. Just something that was fun, interesting and easy (the Historic tour).

Not 10 minutes into the cave Wendy says, "Mom I have to pee." Now this time I was holding Wendy because she was scared of the dark cave. I said, "Wendy don't you pee on me." She assured me that she was going to try and hold it. That for some reason didn't make me feel better.

Of course I was frantically trying to think what I was going to do. I finally decided to tell the ranger and see what she thought. She gave me 2 options: 1. There were bathrooms on the tour and we could wait. It would take us 15 minutes to get there. 2. She could give me a bag and I could take her potty right away behind a rock.

I opted for the latter. I did not want to have a repeat of Alice in Wonderland. I got the bag took Wendy behind a rock. This bag was all done up with a funnel on it so you could get you pee in. Then it had another bad attached to let you dispose of the pee properly without spillage. I had to balance Wendy between my legs and position the bag under her bottom.

Everything went well. Wendy did pee on my hand a little and I did miss the bag a little. The good thing about my hands getting peed on is that it wasn't my clothes and that I could wash my hands in the bathroom. The best thing is that now Mammoth Cave has a piece of our little group from Lexington. LOL

Now everyone will know what to do if your in a cave and your child or you, if the case may be, need to relieve that urge. Hope this helps someone.

Question of the Day

What do you do if your mom won't let you walk on the new carpet with shoes on and you have to walk on the carpet to brush your teeth? Oh and you have already put your shoes on? You brush your teeth with your finger in the downstairs bathroom and hope that you did a good job and your breath won't smell. This is a decision that my kids now have to make now. I have turned into a monster anytime anyone (including Ken) tries to go upstairs with their shoes on (or food). My carpet is just so beautiful. I love it.

Alice through the looking glass

Last night I took my girls to see Alice in Wonderland. We got dressed up and drove to Louisville to eat at the Old Spaghetti Factory first. I have wanted to eat there since I was a kid and it was the first time. I was really excited. Then we went to see Alice Through the Looking Glass.

When we got there we were told that not only did we have tickets for the show but we got to sit on the stage. We were going to be part of the show. Mary Alice got nervous she didn't want to have to be in the show. LOL. When we went to sit down they also told us that we needed to use the restroom because we would not have any intermission and we couldn't leave since we were on stage. So I took Wendy to the bathroom. Knowing Wendy I knew she wouldn't be able to hold her pee.

We were not 10 minutes into the show when Wendy started to jump around and hold herself and tell me that she had to pee again. I couldn't leave they told me not to. What was I going to do. I put her on my lap to get her moving and get pee off mind. I guess I thought that would work. Then of course she peed all over my lap.

I don't know if you all have ever been in this situation before but it was awful. Every time the lights went on you could see the puddle on the floor under my feet. The worst part was that the actors would come right over and talk to us. I was so afraid that they would slip in the pee so I put my legs out. I was devastated and Wendy was jolly since she peed. She was smiling and laughing.

Then Wendy told me that she had to pee again. I almost started crying. I just got up and ran off the stage. It was pretty dramatic. I got to the bathroom and cleaned my legs, skirt, and shoes as well as Wendy's underwear (her skirt was clean because it was up when she peed on me). We were wet but we didn't smell like pee anymore.

When we got back to the stage they were in the tea party scene. I waited until the lights went out and ran back to my seat. I was like I just appeared on stage. It was kinda funny. When the lights went low again I cleaned up the puddle of pee under my seat with the paper towels from the bathroom and then I really felt better. I could finally relax and enjoy the rest of the show. Now I wish I could say that was the end but I can't.

Not 5 minutes after we sat back down the Mad Hatter decided to sit in my lap. I tried to prevent him from doing it but I couldn't without grabbing his butt. So he just sat in my wet lap. uggg! That was really embarrassing.

After the show everyone kept coming up to Wendy and telling her how cute she was and that they had more fun watching her then the show. All I kept thinking was I hope you didn't see her pee.

Freedom!!!

I thought since I haven't blogged in a while I would start with this. What is better that a lazy day at the beach? *** Freedom!! **** Now you have to say it like William Wallace in Braveheart. You know really scream it. FREEDOM!!!!

Having all your kids in school for the first time is NICE. As much as I love them I'm so glad that won't come and tell me one more time, "Mom I'm bored." I started to make them clean every time they said that to me. The last week I've had the cleanest house.

Wendy didn't even look back at me. She ran into her classroom smiling and ready for school. Stephanie whom you see in not in this picture was not ready to have a picture taken. She was still getting ready. But I promise she looked beautiful when she left.

New hair cut

Every child cuts their own hair. Some are worse than others. You may be thinking that Wendy's hair doesn't look that bad. Let me assure you it's not, but with the events that came at the same time I learned she cut her hair it made it so much worse...
Saturday night I went out with some friends and when I got home Ken said Wendy fell asleep on the couch and peed. He loves me so much he left it for me. Yeah. So I cleaned it up and of course, Wendy wasn't tire at all so she was still up. I went into say goodnight to her and I saw scissors on her nightstand and thought to myself that I needed to put those things away, but I didn't. I hate it when I do things like that.
About an hour later she was still running around and we told her to get in bed. Things got quiet so we thought she was sleeping. The next morning I had early meetings before church so I didn't get any of the kids up.
Ken got to church on time the kids looked good I was so happy. He did such a good job. Then he broke the news to me. Wendy cut her hair last night. I was upset because she has blonde hair and I love it. Then this Sunday happened to be all about Scouts so all the boys had their scout uniform on except Will. Will was so upset. I won't go on about that, because he would be mad. I'll just say he asked me to go home and get his shirt. I told him no. He was not happy about this answer. Next thing I know Stephanie's nose startes to bleed all over her arms. So I went home and got Will's shirt.
Wendy's hair isn't that bad and it's easy to hide but with everything else that happened that day it we just not a good day to have Wendy cut her hair. I'm ok now and Will said he was sorry for Sunday. So things are good. Bye.

Will is Another Year.

Will's birthday was Saturday. He was born on Super Bowl Sunday during the halftime show 10 years ago. Everyone was so busy watching that that I didn't get very much attension paid to me. Then once Will came out I was all but forgotten. He looked like a boxer all swollen with his little sock cap on. I never knew then how much of a great kid he was going to be. Everyone always say boys love their mammas. I now know that is true. He is so good to me. He use to give me these hugs when he was a little boy that would almost cruch me. One day I told him that he had to be gentle with me because mommy is a girl and you need to treat girls gentlely. He took that to heart and has been gentle with me ever since. Thank you for being you. I love you.

Rock Band Fever

I don't know about you but our family has Rock Band Fever. Even Wendy wants to play the only problem is that nobody wants her to play with them, because She doesn't know what she's doing. So I let her play while everyone else is at school. Have Fun Wendy.

It's over

Yes Christmas season is finally over and we can all take a step back and breathe a sigh of relief. This Christmas was a great one, but we did have some sadness with the passing of my grandfather Marion Wesley White at 2:00pm on Christmas Day. We will all miss him very much and we know that he is in a better place. I don't want to brag but he was a great grandfather and he loved me the most out of all of his 15 grand children. I love you Grandpa.
Before we went to Florida Santa visited our house and we opened our presents.

We did have fun in Florida this Christmas. Tom and Edna treated us to Disney World and as always my kids loved it. The best thing was that both of the days that we went Wendy went home with Grandma. I love her but sometimes it was nice to not worry about if she was with us.

We got to swim in a very cold pool. Only the kids were brave enough to try this. They are crazy. I how ever did have to jump in with my clothes on to rescue Wendy who got to brave. Cold.

We opened presents from Grandma and Grandpa Wilson.

We got home and had Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa White.

Then finally last night Anne was baptized a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is so wonderful and she was lucky enough to have her cousin Maggie stay for her special day.
